The role We currently have an exciting opportunity for cafe coordinator to join our Melbourne cafe team on a full time, permanent basis. The role will oversee day to day operations of the firm's internal café and support the cafe staff while ensuring the highest standards of customer service for the café are being met. The hours of the role will generally be Monday - Friday during business hours, 7am till 3:30pm. The Operations and Catering team This position will sit within our Operations Team who provides a range of national support services including facilities management, office services, secretarial support, word processing services, catering, purchasing and supply, records management and travel. Part of the Operations Department, our Catering team provides a range of quality services based on local staffing levels, resource availability and demonstrated needs. Key responsibilities Oversee and assist with all day to day operations of the firm's internal café Ensure outstanding customer service and foster a positive work environment Implement and maintain effective and efficient policies and procedures Ensure Health and Safety regulations are strictly adhered to Monitor, measure and report on operational issues Inventory, stock control and manage cost of goods Menu planning and design in conjunction with the Head Chef and Catering Team Leader Skills and Experience: Previous experience as a Barista and café attendant or similar is essential. Able to work efficiently and autonomously under pressure. Great communication skills in order to provide a great service to both clients, partners and employees Food handling certificate and aware of MCC health requirements, ability to obtain a Food Safety Supervisory Certificate.
