We are expanding our reach to international markets, bringing the joy of food, culture, and connection to travellers, corporate incentive groups, and culinary enthusiasts worldwide. Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and strategic Wholesale & Agent Distribution Manager to develop and manage our international sales and distribution strategy. This role focuses on building relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, incentive travel planners, and wholesale partners across key markets — including the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Europe, and Asia Pacific . The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding Otao Kitchen’s brand presence internationally, increasing group bookings, and developing partnerships that drive inbound travel to Melbourne for our cooking classes and food experiences. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Strategy & Business Development Develop and execute a global wholesale and distribution strategy to grow international group and incentive class bookings. Identify and establish relationships with travel agents, tour operators, DMCs (Destination Management Companies), and corporate travel planners . Create and manage B2B pricing structures, commissions, and partnership agreements . Conduct market research to identify trends, new opportunities, and target segments in key regions (USA, Canada, New Zealand, Europe, and Asia Pacific). Represent Otao Kitchen at trade shows, tourism expos, and travel networking events (virtual and in-person). Sales & Partnership Management Develop a sales pipeline and manage accounts to meet distribution and booking targets. Build and maintain relationships with tourism bodies, hotels, and travel associations to drive collaboration. Prepare proposals and promotional materials for trade partners and resellers. Collaborate with marketing to create destination packages and group offers highlighting Melbourne’s food and cultural scene. Operations & Coordination Work closely with Otao Kitchen’s events and operations team to ensure smooth delivery of group experiences. Forecast sales demand and provide regular performance and revenue reports. Support the development of online booking systems and agent portals for easy distribution. Key Skills & Experience: Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in wholesale, agent distribution, or international travel trade sales. Experience in tourism, hospitality, culinary experiences , or event management preferred. Proven track record of building and managing global travel trade partnerships . Strong understanding of inbound tourism and incentive travel markets . Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Strategic thinker with strong organisational and reporting skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple time zones. Desirable Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Tourism, Marketing, or Hospitality Management . Familiarity with Australia’s tourism industry , especially the Melbourne market.
