About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, contributing to menu development, and maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards. This role suits someone who values fresh produce, consistency, and teamwork in a fast-paced cafe environment. Key Responsibilities Plan menus and estimate food and labour costs Order and manage food supplies and stock levels Prepare and cook food to a high standard Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation Liaise with management and front-of-house staff regarding food preparation and service Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations Assist with selecting, training, and supervising kitchen staff when required Supervise and motivate the junior kitchen staff, ensuring all preparations are completed on time and to the highest standards Skills & Experience Tertiary qualifications in relevant commercial cookery Minimum 1 year experience as a Chef in a cafe or restaurant environment.
