Gold Coast | Contract until 30 June 2026 An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Principal Manufacturing Industry Engagement Officer to support the growth and capability of the manufacturing sector across the Gold Coast region. This role sits within a government-led Manufacturing Hub and focuses on high-level industry engagement, stakeholder collaboration, and the delivery of programs and initiatives that strengthen regional manufacturing capability and resilience. About the role In this role, you will work closely with manufacturers, industry partners, education providers, and government stakeholders to identify opportunities, address challenges, and deliver place-based initiatives that support the ongoing growth of the manufacturing sector. Key responsibilities include: Leading high-level engagement with manufacturers and key industry stakeholders Building and maintaining strong relationships across industry, government, local councils, education, and training providers Developing and delivering place-based workshops, forums, and engagement activities Supporting the design and delivery of programs and projects aligned to manufacturing growth and capability development Linking industry with relevant skills, training, and workforce development initiatives Representing the organisation at industry forums and stakeholder meetings Contributing to a collaborative, customer-focused, and outcomes-driven team environment About you You will be a strong communicator and relationship builder with demonstrated experience working closely with industry and stakeholders, ideally within manufacturing, economic development, or government-led initiatives.
