This is a Tax Snr Manager-Fin role with Oracle based in Canberra, ACT, AU Oracle Role Seniority - senior More about the Tax Snr Manager-Fin role at Oracle Job Description Oracle’s Global Tax Audit Organization is expanding its regional tax leadership with the addition of an Indirect Tax Snr Manager based in Australia. As tax authorities around the world, including the APAC region, increase their scrutiny and demand faster, more transparent compliance, Oracle is enhancing its regional capacity to manage Non-Income Based Tax (NIBT) audits, litigation, and compliance across jurisdictions. This role plays a key part in overseeing indirect tax audits in APAC region including other regions such as U.S, addressing complex GST, customs, and cross-border tax matters. The successful candidate will support ongoing tax controversy efforts, liaise with tax authorities, and provide guidance on audit strategy, risk mitigation, and representation of Oracle’s tax positions. Responsibilities Manage indirect tax (GST/VAT) audits and handle all interactions with APAC and other regional tax authorities. Coordinate audit responses, prepare supporting documentation, and lead discussions and negotiations. Support litigation and controversy cases by preparing legal briefs, working with external counsel, and presenting Oracle’s tax positions. Interpret tax legislation and apply practical solutions to ensure compliance and defend audit positions. Partner with Oracle’s global tax teams, finance, legal, and business units to address NIBT risks and ensure alignment with global strategies. Utilize tax technology tools and analytics to drive efficiencies in compliance, audit readiness, and reporting. Prepare tax impact assessments for financial reporting and advise on regulatory developments. Report directly to senior global tax leadership and drive initiatives that enhance Oracle’s audit strategy and regional tax governance.
