Their fresh vegetables are grown in clean, green Australian fields and packed to natural perfection. They have an opportunity for a Diesel Fitter to join their team in the Lockyer Valley area! Hours: The Maintenance Team work on a 3-week rotating roster as follows:– W1 – MON/TUES AM SHIFT (5am-3pm) WED/THURS PM SHIFT (11am – 9pm) W2 - MON/TUES PM SHIFT FRI/SAT AM SHIFT W3 – WED/THUR AM SHIFT FRI/SAT PM SHIFT Remuneration: Permanent position $45.43 per hour ASAP start available Duties: The Fleet Maintenance Technician role is responsible for undertaking good maintenance practices in line with trade qualification and competency to ensure reliable asset performance at a specified location. Working with various internal and external stakeholders for the delivery and improvement in agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) across the balanced scorecard of: People (safety/ capability); Quality and customer; Cost; and Continuous improvement The Fleet Maintenance Technician will be focused in the following: Harvest and transport mobile fleet equipment maintenance and reliability (harvesters and trucks) Farm mobile fleet equipment and reliability (tractors, planters and implements) Packhouse mobile fleet equipment maintenance and reliability (loaders, forklifts) Qualifications: Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical (Diesel desired) Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical C Class License Forklift and or HR licences are highly desirable Experience: Competent at basic oxy acetylene, MIG/TIG or SMAW (stick) welding repairs Experience with fault finding and repairs on pneumatic or hydraulic systems 5 Years’ experience is a similar role Skills and abilities: Highly motivated Positive, Practicable and Persistent A strong commitment to safety and quality Works well within a team environment and demonstrable experience within Maintenance Teams Able to think on your feet and be proactive Ability to communicate effectively including strong verbal and written communication Be highly organised, reliable and have a strong work ethic High levels of initiative and the ability to apply discretion and judgment to problem solve Process driven with a commitment for continuous improvement Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Strong analytical fault-finding abilities MUST have full Australian work rights to apply!
