Data Centre Solutions Engineer (Electrical) – Sydney About the Role Were looking for a technically adept and commercially minded Solutions Engineer with an electrical engineering background to help design, deliver, and optimise modular data centre infrastructure across the Asia-Pacific region. You' ll play a pivotal role in solution development, client engagement, and technical delivery — shaping end-to-end solutions that bring innovative, prefabricated data centre systems to life. This role suits someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, design, and business development, with a passion for scalable, energy-efficient infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Act as a technical lead during the solution and presales lifecycle, collaborating with clients to define and refine project requirements. Design, specify, and present fit-for-purpose modular data centre solutions, with a particular focus on electrical infrastructure, including HV/LV systems, UPS, and power distribution. Lead technical workshops, feasibility assessments, and client presentations, translating complex requirements into practical and commercially viable solutions. Develop scope documents, detailed design inputs, and cost estimates in collaboration with engineering, production, and commercial teams. Support bids, RFP responses, and strategic proposals across hyperscale, edge, and enterprise data centre projects. Align design documentation and solution architectures with delivery capabilities, material availability, and modular construction principles. Stay across industry trends, sustainability measures, and modular deployment innovations to help refine standard solution offerings. What Were Looking For Strong technical grounding in electrical systems, including power distribution, redundancy design, and energy efficiency. Familiarity with data centre design standards and compliance frameworks for modular or prefabricated systems. Excellent client-facing, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Commercial acumen with the ability to balance technical quality and project value. Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
