Purpose of the Role BGIS is seeking a Management Accountant to support accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and cost management for a newly acquired government services portfolio. You will work closely with operational teams, property management, and asset teams to provide clear financial insights, promote transparency, and support informed decision-making. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, and enjoys improving financial processes while supporting teams in achieving their goals. Key Responsibilities - Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and cost centre reporting - Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost management activities - Collaborate with operational teams to ensure accurate allocation of costs - Build and maintain Power BI reports and assist with financial workflow automation using Power Automate - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal BGIS financial controls - Provide clear and accessible financial insights to support decision-making - Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting transparency Education, Experience & Skills Essential - Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce - Working towards CPA/CA qualification or equivalent - Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial governance - High proficiency with Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and digital financial tools - Experience in FM or contract-based financial environments - Collaborative, supportive approach and strong communication skills Desirable - Previous experience with Facilities Management or government clients - Technical or operational background - Experience in financial workflow automation and reporting systems Workplace Flexibility Based at our Melbourne CBD office , close to public transport. After probation/training, the role transitions to a hybrid arrangement : 2 days WFH, 3 days office. Core business hours with some flexibility to start/finish times, some ad hoc extra hours on an as-needed basis and occasional site visits across Melbourne CBD . Why Join BGIS?
