They trade physical and financial power products across multiple European markets, manage diverse generation and supply portfolios, and execute sophisticated trading strategies across day-ahead, intraday, and forward markets. The business operates a dynamic trading floor environment with significant market-making activities, proprietary trading, and portfolio optimisation across European power markets. They require experienced traders who can identify opportunities, manage risk, and deliver P&L in competitive wholesale markets. They are seeking a Power Trader to execute trading strategies, manage positions, and optimise portfolio value across European power markets. This role offers the opportunity to trade actively in liquid markets whilst working alongside experienced traders in a high-performance environment. The Role You will execute power trades across day-ahead, intraday, and forward markets, manage trading positions, and optimise portfolio P&L. This role requires strong market knowledge, fast decision-making capability, and the ability to identify and capture trading opportunities in real-time. Working on a fast-paced trading desk, you will monitor market fundamentals, manage intraday positions, execute hedging strategies, and contribute to overall portfolio performance. You will collaborate with originators, schedulers, and risk teams whilst maintaining focus on P&L delivery.
