In this position you will contribute to a dedicated team of rangers responsible for public space and parking compliance and enforcement throughout the City managing the smart parking scheme, public safety and environmental compliance in public places. You will patrol high visitation sites to maintain Council’s regulatory responsibilities under various acts including the Local Government Act, Companion Animals Act, POEO Act and Roads Act, issuing PINs according to delegations and represent Council in Court. Our ideal candidate will have experience in a regulatory setting, have an attention to detail, be committed to customer service excellence, and have the ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure. The hours of work consist of Friday to Monday, 2:00pm to 7:00pm each week (but may vary according to operational needs). A leaseback vehicle with private use option is available with this position.
