Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to support our business's operation. You will covers duties such as maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing motor vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. YOU WILL NEED TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING DUTIES Troubleshooting, servicing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. Up-keeping petrol engines and the mechanical components of light motor vehicles including transmissions, suspensions, steering systems, and brakes. Addressing a broad spectrum of technical problems ranging from routine maintenance to complex repairs. Excelling in both team settings and individual work scenarios. Rebuilding, testing, cleaning, and adjusting restored or replaced components or assemblies, using precision instruments to ensure proper function before reinstalling them in the vehicle. Consulting with drivers or vehicle operators to identify mechanical issues. Performing minor body and trim repairs, and diagnosing, fixing, and replacing engine management and fuel injection systems. Monitoring engine sounds, using specialized diagnostic equipment, and conducting test drives. THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION At least AQF Certificate III in the related field AQF Certificate III in Automotive Technology is required At least 2 years close related experience in a commercial environment Strong understanding of mechanics Strong communication and interpersonal abilities We anticipate a large volume of applications and due to time restraints, only successful applicants will be notified.
