The Opportunity We are seeking a Global Financial Controller to oversee global finance operations across Australia, the US, and Europe, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and strategic financial governance. Reporting to the Global Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal leadership role in driving operational efficiency, implementing global policies, and ensuring alignment across subsidiaries. This hands-on, strategic role offers the opportunity to shape financial processes, strengthen internal controls, and influence commercial decision-making across a global organisation. Lead and manage global finance operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, inventory control, and intercompany reconciliations. Ensure compliance with international accounting standards, statutory and tax obligations, and transfer pricing regulations across all subsidiaries. Drive month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Coordinate global consolidation reporting, including financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts. Develop and implement finance policies, procedures, and internal controls to strengthen governance and operational efficiency. Lead and support system migration, restructuring, and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage and develop the Australasian and global finance team, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and high performance. Translate business needs into financial frameworks, models, and actionable insights to support commercial decision-making. Champion social and environmental initiatives, embedding purpose-led practices into finance operations. Our Ideal Candidate You thrive in dynamic, global environments, and are passionate about shaping processes, mentoring teams, and delivering sustainable financial performance. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred (studying candidates considered). Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance leadership, financial control, or a related role in a global business context. Strong understanding of stock, inventory, or product-led business financial control, including stock tracking, purchasing, and system reconciliation. Experience in FMCG, finished goods, or manufacturing environments highly valued. Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, educate, and guide teams globally. Demonstrated adaptability, resilience, and strategic thinking in fast-paced, complex environments. Commitment to sustainability, ethical practices, and embedding purpose into financial operations.
