Description Join us as a Senior Manager, Business Controls & Monitoring (BCM), where you’ll provide high-quality first line risk advice and support to the Group Customer Operations Business Lending Operations team (GCO BLO). What’s the role? As a Senior Manager, Business Controls & Monitoring, you’ll provide high‑quality first line risk advice to the Group Customer Operations Business Lending Operations (BLO) team, partnering closely with business leaders to support safe and effective delivery of change. This role focuses on embedding strong risk culture, capability, and accountability across BLO. You’ll support the ongoing management and reporting of risk and compliance obligations in line with Operational Risk Management and Compliance Management Frameworks, helping the business make informed decisions that balance customer, commercial, and regulatory outcomes. You’ll deliver outcomes safely by providing pragmatic, fit‑for‑purpose advice, make an impact by lifting risk capability across the business, and own outcomes by coaching leaders and teams to confidently manage their risks This is a permanent fulltime role based in Sydney with flexible working arrangements (3 days in office). Strong experience in Business Controls & Monitoring (BCM) or first line operational risk within financial services People leadership experience, including coaching, guiding, and providing direction to leaders and teams Proven experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing risk outcomes in complex environments Solid understanding of operational risk and compliance frameworks, ideally within Business Lending Pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach with the ability to simplify complex risk matters Strong customer mindset, commercial acumen, and commitment to continuous improvement Why join us?
