The Director Executive Office and Strategic Delivery is responsible for leading a team in the provision of range of administrative, executive, and strategic advice and support to the Commissioners, CEO and Executive Director Regulatory Operations (EDRO), ensuring they are fully supported in all aspects of their roles and functions. The work is varied, dynamic and extends across the whole agency. The Director will also work closely with the CEO and EDRO and provide strategic leadership and oversight of the implementation of strategy, strategic projects and change across TEQSA. The position will play a key role in the development of strategy, translating strategy into actionable work plans, monitoring and supporting delivery. The key duties of the position include As Director Executive Office and Strategic Delivery, you will be responsible and accountable for: Providing high-level strategic, operational, and regulatory business advice to the CEO and EDRO. Leading a team to provide high-quality and effective administrative and executive support to the Commissioners, CEO and EDRO. Leading, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on strategic projects, including risk management, prioritisation, and sequencing of work. Being the key contact for senior stakeholders in the absence of the CEO. This would include the Ministerial Office, senior staff from the Department of Education or other government departments, peak bodies, senior executives from higher education providers and external agencies. Contributing to the ongoing development of TEQSA's strategic directions to ensure the agency has the organisational capability to respond to current and future challenges. Support and capability development for TEQSA staff with responsibilities within strategic projects and other initiatives. Demonstrated ability in using initiative, problem-solving, priority setting and working to deadlines, with high level organisational capabilities. Strong written communication skills and extensive experience in the preparation of reports, documents, briefings, and presentations to a very high standard. Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, influencing, consultation, and communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The ability to analyse and interpret complex information across a broad range of topics, apply sound and balanced judgement, and provide high-level advice. Substantial experience in providing strategic advice and business acumen and delivering innovative solutions to business challenges. Qualifications and experience A tertiary qualification(s) or relevant practical experience in public or tertiary sector administration will be advantageous but not essential.
