The recently redeveloped RAC Ningaloo Reef Resort sits on the pristine shores of Coral Bay, a gateway to the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Marine Park. Featuring 90 modern units, a resort-style pool, ocean-view dining, a contemporary clubhouse, and sustainable features like solar power and EV charging, it offers an unparalleled coastal experience. Ahead of our grand reopening in mid-2026, we’re seeking a motivated and guest-focused full-time Duty Manager to oversee afternoon and evening operations and ensure the delivery of outstanding guest service across the resort. What will you be doing? As Duty Manager, you’ll act as the key contact for guests and staff after hours, ensuring smooth resort operations, handling guest feedback, and resolving issues promptly. Reporting to the Assistant Resort Manager, you’ll also play a critical role in ensuring high standards across all facilities, services, and guest experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role at one of Australia’s most breathtaking destinations. Your day-to-day impact Oversee afternoon and evening operations, ensuring seamless service across all departments. Act as the first point of contact for guest enquiries, feedback, and complaints, resolving issues effectively. Maintain a visible presence in guest areas, supporting departments during peak periods. Manage after-hours phone calls, callouts, and emergency situations in line with RAC procedures. Ensure compliance with WHS, liquor licensing, and all relevant regulations. Conduct walk-throughs of guest rooms, public areas, and resort grounds to maintain cleanliness and safety. Complete check-in and check-out procedures, venue closures, and nightly handover reporting. What you’ll bring to the team Previous management experience in a hotel, resort, park, or motel, ideally in a remote working environment. Strong knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements impacting resort operations. Demonstrated ability to monitor and manage performance indicators without compromising quality. A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for delivering exceptional guest service. Ability to use computer systems and maintain accurate reports. Qualifications: Senior First Aid and Driver’s Licence required; RSA essential (Approved Manager advantageous); tertiary qualifications in Tourism/Hospitality desirable. Flexibility to work late afternoon, evening, and after-hours shifts across 7 days including weekends and public holidays.
