Job Description The Financial Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial accounting, reporting, and operational finance support in Australia, and with specific ownership and control of the Sobi joint venture in South Korea. ·he role combines end-to-end transactional accounting with strong month-end discipline, systems-based reporting, and support for budgeting and forecasting in a fast-growing, regulated environment. The role acts as the primary bilingual finance interface between head office and Korean stakeholders, ideally requiring fluent professional communication in both Korean and English. Reporting to the Head of Finance and Operations, the financial accountant role is a part of the FinOps team that ensures financial integrity, efficient logistics, and smooth office management to support sustainable business growth. Key Responsabilities Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes Prepare and execute supplier and intercompany payments in line with internal controls Monitor receivables, follow up outstanding balances, and resolve discrepancies Financial Accounting (Australia) Support month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations Maintain accurate general ledger records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards Ensure timely and accurate financial data for management reporting Joint Venture Accounting (South Korea) Maintain and manage the JV accounting records for the South Korean entity to make sure accuracy, completeness and timeliness. Manage JV month-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments, Cognos reporting, and reconciliations Support monthly management reporting and analysis Support the annual budget and periodic forecasting processes Support to prepare the board meeting materials Act as the primary finance contact for Korean-speaking JV stakeholders Assist with intercompany and JV-related queries Controls, Compliance & Process Improvement Adhere to internal controls, policies, and procedures Support audit requests and documentation as required Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
