Planner Bielby is experiencing a period of sustained growth, with a robust project pipeline and expansion into new regions. Building on our 40 year legacy of success across roads, rail, renewables, and marine infrastructure, we are seeking a capable Project Planner. This is a unique end-to-end role: you will lead the programming and staging during the tender and bid phase and then mobilise to the site to lead the delivery of the project. You will be the primary custodian of the project’s schedule and methodology, ensuring the promises made during the bid are executed with precision on the ground. What You'll Do Take full ownership of tender schedules, developing complex construction methodologies and staging solutions that give Bielby a competitive edge. Partner with the Pre-Contracts and Estimating teams to ensure the program is robust and commercially viable. Act as the lead scheduling expert in client interviews and tender presentations, building early confidence with government bodies and stakeholders. Move from the bid phase to site delivery, serving as the ultimate authority on-site for the project program, critical path management, and resource optimisation. Drive project performance through analysis and program impact assessments, supporting the Project Manager in the strategic management of variations and claims. Implement company procedures to ensure high-quality outcomes, maintaining accurate monthly program updates and comprehensive reporting for off-site management. What You'll Bring 10–15 years in civil construction, with a proven track record of planning and delivering large-scale infrastructure projects. Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6 and a deep understanding of First Principles Estimating and its integration with the project schedule. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; postgraduate qualifications in Project Management are highly regarded. Ability to forge trusted, long-term relationships with clients through transparent, data-driven communication and integrity.
