We are seeking an experienced Test / Release / Environment Manager to play a critical role in the s eparation of a large banking porfolio from a major bank and integration into its new owner . This is a complex, high-profile transformation program requiring strong governance, coordination, and delivery discipline across multiple workstreams. About the Role Reporting into the Program leadership team, you will be responsible for end-to-end test governance, release coordination, and environment management across the program. You will lead a team of 5–6 testers operating across four parallel streams of work , ensuring testing, releases, and environments are aligned to the program delivery cycle and key milestones. This role requires someone who is comfortable operating in a highly constrained environment landscape, balancing competing priorities while maintaining quality and delivery confidence. Key Responsibilities Establish and manage test, release, and environment governance across the separation program Lead and coordinate 5–6 testers across four streams , ensuring consistent test approach and standards Own the test strategy, test planning, execution oversight, and defect management Manage non-production and production environments , including: Environment planning and scheduling Coordination of refreshes, deployments, and access Managing constraints and dependencies within the program delivery cycle Plan and coordinate release activities , ensuring readiness across business, technology, and operations Work closely with Program Managers, Stream Leads, Vendors, and Technology teams to manage dependencies and risks Provide clear status reporting, risk and issue management , and recommendations to program governance forums Ensure compliance with financial services delivery standards and change controls Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Test Manager, Release Manager, Environment Manager , or combined role within large transformation programs Demonstrated experience managing test teams across multiple concurrent workstreams Strong background in program-level governance , reporting, and stakeholder engagement Hands-on experience managing test and release environments under tight delivery constraints Experience working within financial services , preferably in banking, lending, or mortgage platforms Strong understanding of SDLC, test lifecycles, release management, and environment planning Ability to operate confidently in complex, fast-paced, and highly regulated environments Desirable Experience with separation, carve-out, or integration programs Familiarity with mortgage or home loan platforms Experience working across vendor-led and internal delivery models For further information, please email me on peter@employ.com.au
