With a focus on premium ingredients and fusion dishes — including the namesake truffle options — the cafe is positioned as a destination for both casual locals and discerning diners.We are now seeking a motivated and skilled Chef to join our team and play a key role in delivering outstanding dining experiences. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and present a wide range of modern dishes (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) to consistently high standards. Maintain excellent food quality, taste, and presentation, ensuring portion and cost control. Oversee daily kitchen operations including food preparation, service coordination, and kitchen cleanliness. Monitor stock levels, order ingredients, receive deliveries, and minimise wastage. Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety standards. Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen hands or junior staff when required. Assist in menu development and seasonal specials to keep the offering fresh and appealing. Manage workflow during busy service periods, ensuring efficiency and timely service. Work collaboratively with the café team to deliver a smooth and positive customer experience. What We’re Looking For Minimum of 1 year experience as a Chef or Cook in a café, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment. Strong skills in preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes typical of an Australian café menu. Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP) and safe kitchen practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and attention to detail. Good organisational and time management skills, especially during peak service times. A positive team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Flexibility to work across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays as rostered. A genuine passion for food, creativity, and delivering memorable dining experiences.
