A well-established, high growth food service and commercial supply organisation is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to take ownership of the fantastic, established territory of Southern Sydney. This is a true field-based role for a commercially driven BDM who enjoys winning new business, building trusted customer relationships, and managing their territory with autonomy and accountability. The Opportunity You’ll be responsible for driving revenue growth across your territory through a strong focus on new business development, supported by the strategic management of an existing customer portfolio. This role suits someone who is comfortable prospecting, cold calling, and converting opportunities - whilst also nurturing long-term partnerships with key customers. You’ll plan and manage your own schedule, maintain a healthy sales pipeline, respond to market and competitor activity, and consistently deliver against agreed targets. Key Responsibilities Proactively identify and secure new business through prospecting and cold calling (you will also be provided with leads within your territory) Build, manage, and convert a strong pipeline of opportunities Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers Prepare and present tailored proposals and pricing solutions Maximise value and utilisation across customer installations or equipment Monitor competitor activity and respond strategically Plan and execute structured weekly work plans to ensure full territory coverage Achieve agreed sales, new customer, and service call targets Maintain accurate CRM records and reporting About You Proven experience in a Business Development Manager or Territory Sales role Strong hunter mindset with confidence in new business acquisition Background in B2B sales within foodservice, hospitality, FMCG, equipment, or related industries Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working autonomously Commercially astute with a customer-first approach Willing and able to travel regularly across the Sydney South to Wollongong region What’s on Offer Autonomous, field-based role with clear territory ownership Supportive leadership and structured systems Long-term career opportunity within a stable and growing business Competitive salary package plus great commissions and all the tools and support needed to support success
