Our client is an iconic luxury hotel with a strong reputation in the premium leisure, MICE and corporate space. This property is entering its next phase of commercial growth and is now seeking an accomplished Director of Sales to lead an established, high-performing sales team. This is a senior leadership role for a commercially astute hotel sales professional who can confidently step into a complex environment, provide expert guidance, and drive results across high-end leisure, corporate and MICE segments. The Role: Reporting into the Commercial Director, the Director of Sales will lead all sales activity across Corporate, MICE, Luxury Consortia and High-End Leisure, while managing and developing a highly experienced team. Leading, mentoring and managing an experienced proactive sales team (up to five direct reports across Corporate, Leisure and MICE) Driving high-end leisure business through established luxury programs while identifying and launching new initiatives Owning corporate RFP activity, including Lanyon (Cvent), and overseeing strategic corporate account management Working closely with global and regional sales offices to maximise international opportunities Acting as a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert for an experienced team, including senior internal stakeholders Partnering with Revenue and Marketing to optimise yield, pricing and commercial performance Ensuring CRM accuracy and discipline across all systems Being a visible, hands-on leader in the hotel, collaborating daily with Sales, Events and wider hotel operations Candidate Profile: Proven experience leading and managing a sales team (minimum 2–3 direct reports) Strong background in luxury or premium hotel sales (essential) Demonstrated success across high-end leisure, MICE and corporate segments Deep understanding of hotel sales systems and processes A collaborative leadership style, balanced with confidence and commercial rigour The ability to advise, coach and support an experienced team — this is not a hands-on selling role, but a leadership one Professional polish, strong commercial instincts and the “pedigree” expected of a luxury sales leader Experienced, highly capable and collaborative sales team High performance expectations On-site role, with daily presence in the hotel required Salary & Benefits: Competitive base salary $135-140K plus annual bonus plus revenue commission Flexible work hours Discounted parking and meals THE MONDAY GROUP is a specialist recruitment agency and executive search firm for the events, experiential marketing, hotel & hospitality industries.
