Katoomba Hotel is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our vibrant culinary team. About the Role As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for managing a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring food quality, consistency, and timely service. You will work closely with the Head Chef to deliver an exceptional dining experience to our guests. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes across various sections Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards within your section Assist in menu development, specials, and recipe creation as directed Ensure your section is fully stocked, organised, and ready for service Monitor portion control, minimise waste, and maintain cost-efficient practices Support and guide junior kitchen staff during service Work collaboratively with the broader kitchen team to ensure smooth operations Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and inventory management Adhere to all Work Health & Safety (WHS) and food-handling regulations Assist other sections and perform additional duties as required during peak periods About You Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef in a busy hotel or restaurant Strong understanding of kitchen operations and section management Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team Ability to perform well under pressure and maintain high standards Commitment to cleanliness, organisation, and professional presentation Why Join Katoomba Hotel?
