The opportunity An opportunity exists for an experienced Venues Operations Officer to join the Arts, Culture and Community team at Hobsons Bay City Council. You’ll work with the community and professional producers on events at Williamstown Town Hall, Altona Theatre and Old Laverton School. What You’ll Be Doing Within the Venues Unit, the role facilitates, develops and delivers a diverse calendar of events and programmes across the city to support community, cultural, economic and visitor outcomes. The successful applicant will collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders through partnerships, advocacy, planning and delivery. What You'll Need To Succeed Strong background in venue or theatre management, live events, and client management Experience in production or stage management and event delivery Tertiary qualifications in events management or a related discipline (desirable) Proven professional experience in live events and venue management Ability to work across broader venue and event operations, not just production This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with production experience and a passion for supporting programmes, events and the community, who wants to contribute to making Hobsons Bay a great place to live, work and visit.
