Established in 1984, we specialise in metal fabrication and mechanical design services, delivering high-quality truck bodies including flat trays, service bodies, tippers, crane fitments, and chassis extensions. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis. This role is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components and structures used in custom truck bodies and related equipment. Key Responsibilities Fabricating metal components and structures using steel, aluminum, and other materials Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints and fabrication specifications Cutting, shaping, bending and assembling metal components using hand and power tools Performing welding tasks including MIG, TIG and stick welding as required Assembling truck bodies, frames, trays, service bodies and related components Measuring and marking materials to ensure accurate fabrication and fitment Inspecting finished work to ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances Identifying and rectifying fabrication faults or material defects Performing routine maintenance of tools, welding equipment and machinery Ensuring all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements Completing job cards, production records and required documentation accurately Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment Skills & Experience Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent qualification Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Metal Fabricator or Welder Fabricator Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG and/or stick welding) Experience working with structural steel, aluminium and sheet metal High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Understanding of workplace safety procedures and fabrication standards Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong time management and problem-solving skills What We Offer Long-term, stable full-time employment Competitive salary aligned with experience and market rates Supportive team culture and safe working environment Modern workshop with quality tools and equipment Opportunities for ongoing training and skill development How to Apply Please submit your updated resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role.
