Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker Employment Type: Full-Time, Ongoing Location: Yandina, Queensland Salary: $77,000 - $85,000 per annum superannuation About Us Paulger Engineering is a trusted custom truck body manufacturer based in Yandina, Queensland. Established in 1984, we specialize in metal fabrication and mechanical design services, delivering high-quality truck bodies such as flat trays, service bodies, tippers, crane fitments, and chassis extensions. Our reputation is built on precision craftsmanship and customer-focused service. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing and repairing sheet metal products and components to meet engineering and production requirements. This is a full-time position, offering stable work and opportunities for ongoing development. Key Responsibilities The role will involve duties including, but not limited to: Selecting, cutting, shaping, and forming sheet metal materials using hand tools and power tools Operating fabrication machinery such as guillotines, brake presses, rollers, plasma cutters, and folding machines Marking out, measuring, and preparing materials following drawings, blueprints, and specifications Fabricating metal ducting, components, trays, panels, guards, and other sheet-metal products Assembling and joining sheet metal parts using riveting, welding (MIG/TIG), soldering, bolting, or other fastening methods Performing routine maintenance on fabricated items and undertaking repair work as required Inspecting completed components to ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances Reading and interpreting technical drawings, engineering plans, and work orders Installing fabricated items onsite where required Ensuring safe work practices and adherence to WHS standards at all times Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, candidates should have: Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Sheetmetal) or equivalent qualification Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker in manufacturing, engineering, industrial or fabrication environments Strong technical ability in cutting, forming and assembling sheet-metal products Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings and specifications Proficiency with fabrication machinery and hand tools Welding experience (MIG/TIG) highly regarded Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and within a team What's On Offer $80,000 - $100,000 per annum plus superannuation Full-time, Monday to Friday roster (overtime available as required) Stable, ongoing employment in a supportive team environment Opportunity to work on specialized, high-quality truck body builds How to Apply: Please submit your updated resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role.
