Our client, providing operational and infrastructure assessment and optimisation services to the Queensland resources sector, is seeking a Capacity Modeller to join their close-knit team. Integral to the role is delivering simulation and supply chain modelling, providing insights and working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Capacity Modelling Manager, key responsibilities include Collate and input stakeholder data into discrete event simulation modelling tools to assess the capacity of the supply chain network and infrastructure. Critically analyse and challenge modelling outcomes, drawing conclusions and predicting future outcomes. Provide recommendations, insights and implications of real-world operations and impacts. Identify data and modelling issues and provide solutions. Create value and contribute to operational process improvements. Proactively communicate and work closely with the CEO, Modelling & Reporting Teams and external operational customers. About you Practitioner of capacity, planning and simulation modelling within a supply chain, transport, mining, manufacturing or consulting environment. Experience using discrete event simulation modelling tools such as Anylogic, ExtendSim, Arena or similar. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, IT, Supply Chain/ Logistics or a related discipline. The ability to build and maintain key stakeholder relationships and link customer needs to solutions. A curious mind with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
