What do we want? We are seeking a visionary leader to drive strategic workforce transformation at Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT). The successful candidate will advance the VET Blueprint Project and CIT’s strategic objectives by developing and implementing the CIT VET Workforce Plan, job role profiles, families, and career pathways. The Director Workforce Transformation will lead workforce transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with CIT’s strategy and achievement of key project milestones. They will partner with stakeholders to develop and implement workforce plans, support recruitment and retention activities, and represent CIT at relevant meetings and forums. Collaboration with senior leaders in People and Culture is vital for managing interdependent project components, as is compliance with all legislative, regulatory, and government requirements while promoting best practice HR protocols and governance. What do you need? The successful candidate will need a deep understanding of the VET sector, ACTPS and CIT employment frameworks, and contemporary HR practices. Advanced communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, along with demonstrated experience in workforce transformation, project management, and HR environments. Strong leadership, organisational, and project management abilities, high emotional intelligence, and experience in the ACT or Australian Public Service or education sector are highly desirable. Qualifications or experience in HR management or a related field will be highly regarded. Experience in workforce/capability planning, operational and strategic HR service delivery and HR project management or a similar role is essential. Qualifications or experience in HR management or a similar field will be highly regarded.
