As the Administrative Officer (AAEP) you will contribute to the effective and efficient administrative management of the school by providing relevant and timely administrative support to the Principal and Business Manager. You will work within existing guidelines to provide basic resolution of problems by reference to established procedure, consulting the Principal or Business Manager for matters that are more complex or non-routine. About Us Redland District Special School is located in Thornlands and close to beautiful Moreton Bay. Thornlands is about 40 minutes from the heart of Brisbane and surrounded by koala bushland and the sea. Redland District Special School provides educational programs for students with disabilities from birth through to the completion of the allocation of 26 semesters (including Prep) of State Schooling typically 17 years of age. About The Role Responsibilities include, but not limited to; Proactive and positive first contact for parents and community members in the school. Perform a variety of day to day administrative and support services that are routine in nature and directed by the Principal or the Business Manager. Provide reception services including receiving telephone calls and visitors to the school and where necessary directing these to appropriate areas. Student Management - entering rolls, student enrolments, filing of student information, absent text messages to parents. Administer day to day financial matters (e.g. process payments and orders, receipting, banking, follow up late payments as directed by Principal or Business Manager. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders; provide information and advice in line with school policies and/or Principal directives. Apply day to day independence in determining work schedules and sequences within a well-defined environment with regular managerial supervision.
