Your Employer Our client is a leading family-owned horticultural enterprise based in the Bundaberg region of Queensland, operating for over 25 years. The Role As the Harvest Manager, you’ll take charge of a large seasonal harvest workforce during the key watermelon season (Nov–Apr) and oversee harvest-related operations in the off-season. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll coordinate daily harvest logistics, lead supervisors and crew, and ensure a calm, productive, and respectful working environment. Reporting to the Director, your key responsibilities will include: Coordinating and leading harvest teams, providing efficient training and mentorship. Managing rosters, transport, accommodation, and logistics for seasonal labour. Monitoring harvest metrics (yield, cost, labour efficiency) and implement improvements when required. Liaising effectively with packing and logistics departments to ensure timely dispatch of produce. Applying structured leadership to uphold high performance and safety standards Contribute to mentoring future crew leaders and supervisors About You You're an experienced people leader, calm under pressure, highly organised, and passionate about hands-on farming. You thrive in environments where leadership, planning, and relationship-building matter as much as harvest yields. While horticulture experience is valued, your ability to manage and motivate diverse teams is paramount.
