About the role This is an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join a respected CBD law firm. Working within a specialist team, you will play a key role managing complex recovery matters against third parties, helping to ensure funds are recovered and returned to the scheme to support and protect workers. Duties In this role you will: Manage a diverse and complex WorkCover recovery practice Provide strategic, high-level legal advice on recovery and insurance matters Act for the Victorian WorkCover Authority in recovering costs from third parties Run matters autonomously from commencement to resolution Contribute to the ongoing success and growth of the Insurance & Compensation practice Skills & experience Ideally, you will have: 5 years’ experience in WorkCover (defendant or plaintiff) and/or insurance litigation Strong knowledge across WorkSafe practice areas, particularly recovery matters A proactive approach with the ability to manage your own files Excellent organisational, communication and client-service skills An interest in further developing your technical expertise and leadership capability About our client Our client is a respected mid-sized law firm with a renowned practice specialising in the defence of accident compensation claims.
