The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission is seeking an accomplished senior executive to lead its national Complaints and Reportable Incidents functions. This SES Band 1 role is central to strengthening the Commission's regulatory capability and ensuring the effective intake, assessment and management of matters concerning the safety, wellbeing and rights of people with disability. A key requirement for this role is a positive, contemporary attitude towards people with disability, alongside the professional credibility and judgement necessary to uphold the Commission's role as the national regulator of NDIS providers. The Assistant Commissioner will lead significant organisational and regulatory reform, uplift capability, and embed consistent best practice across complaints and incident-handling functions. The successful candidate will bring a collaborative and collegiate leadership style, with the ability to work constructively with branch staff, SES colleagues and sector partners. They will demonstrate strong change leadership-bringing people along through transformation, strengthening systems and processes, and supporting a high-performing, engaged and professional workforce.
