ABOUT THE ROLE: We are looking for a Telecommunications Field Engineer. The job duties, skills, and experience requirements are mentioned below: Deploy, install, and maintain telecommunications equipment and systems at client sites. Installing, Configuring and splicing of the optical fibre cables and devices. Installing and troubleshooting the routing and switching devices. Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure continuous system functionality. Provide on-site technical support to team, clients, and other contractors involved in the project to resolve issues promptly and ensuring minimal downtime. Collaborate with the Telecom service providers (TELSTRA/NBN) to resolve complex technical problems. Implement and adhere to quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards in telecommunications installations. Managing HSE standards, SWMS, Start cards, and Traffic Plans. Work closely with project manager and the coordinator to deliver projects before dead line. Discuss project related complex issues and provide technical solutions. Complete technical workbooks, material management and project reports. Generate detailed technical documentation for reference and future troubleshooting. Adhere to health and safety protocols during on-site activities. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Salary Range $80,000 - $85,000 Super Qualifications/Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related equivalent. Experience/ Knowledge Minimum of three years of professional experience in the field of telecommunications. Proficiency in telecommunications systems, protocols, and troubleshooting methodologies. Abilities/Attributes Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Adaptability to work in dynamic and diverse environments. Commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies. Licences White card Driving Licence TELSTRA EACS and NBN enable card Open Cabler Licence First Aid Other licences and certificates like Work at heights, Confined Space, Traffic Management, and Networking are highly recommended. Hours of work This is a full-time position, typically involving 38 hours per week. Flexibility may be required to accommodate project demands and field service requirements.
