Description: How You’ll Make An Impact We’re looking for a Community Engagement Officer to join our Housing Operations team. In this community-focused role, you’ll help design and deliver programs, support resident participation and build partnerships that strengthen local communities. Your work will create meaningful impact by helping residents feel connected, informed and supported in their neighbourhoods. Reporting to the Team Leader Community Engagement, you’ll engage with residents, services and internal teams to deliver practical and purposeful outcomes. Your role in action Support resident-led activities, programs and initiatives that build community connection Coordinate forums, surveys, consultations and engagement activities Provide clear and accessible information to residents about participation opportunities Build partnerships with local organisations and community services Contribute to placemaking activities and support new resident inductions Prepare reports and support administration and community development budgets Represent Housing Choices at community events and activities View the Position Description here. Skills and Experiences: What You Offer You build trust easily, communicate with clarity and enjoy helping people connect with their communities. You will bring: Experience in community development or community housing Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively Problem solving skills and confidence working with diverse communities Good Microsoft Office skills Understanding of issues affecting socially disadvantaged groups You must also hold a current driver’s licence and a Working With Vulnerable People Check and be willing to complete employment screening.
