The Role We’re looking for an accomplished Risk Enablement Advisor to support the Risk Enablement team in embedding a strong risk culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and enhancing the organisation’s risk maturity. This busy and important role will see you partnering with stakeholders to manage risk frameworks, deliver training, and support business continuity and regulatory change initiatives. What You’ll Do Coordinate and support internal audit activities, ensuring timely responses and remediation of findings. Maintain and review risk-related policies to ensure alignment with regulatory and business requirements. Monitor and manage risk frameworks and ongoing regulatory obligations to promote ethical behaviour and compliance. Lead and support the implementation of new regulatory requirements across the organisation. Drive business continuity planning, testing, and incident response to ensure resilience. Conduct risk capability assessments to identify gaps and improvement opportunities. Develop and deliver training programmes to enhance risk awareness across the organisation. Drive initiatives to strengthen risk culture and embed risk management into decision-making. About You A Risk professional with a background in Financial Services and a focus on enablement and embedding risk culture, you will bring the following key skills: Demonstrated experience in supporting key risk and governance processes, including policy reviews, risk frameworks, and regulatory change initiatives. Experience in conducting risk capability assessments and delivering risk training and awareness programs. Strong understanding of business continuity management and operational resilience practices. Knowledge of Australian regulatory requirements and experience implementing frameworks to support compliance. Ability to influence and engage stakeholders to embed risk management into business processes and decision-making. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports. The following skills are nice to have but not essential: Tertiary qualification (graduate or postgraduate) in a relevant discipline and/or a recognised professional certification. Recognised professional certification/accreditation (e.g. CPA, CA, CFA, RMIA, or equivalent). Membership of professional bodies such as the Risk Management Institute of Australasia (RMIA) or the Governance Institute of Australia. Familiarity with APRA prudential standards (e.g. CPS 230, SPS 220, CPS 234) and their practical application.
