The Cybersecurity Practice within FTI Consulting is a leading provider of independent cyber and risk management advisory services with a core offering focused on (but not limited to) Cyber Readiness including Cyber Risk Advisory, Incident Response, Complex Investigations & Litigation. We are seeking to appoint a Director (5-7 years consulting experience) to support the growth of our Cybersecurity Services practice in Sydney. This role requires an experienced professional, who is used to delivering high quality, client deliverables, while also working with the senior leadership team to identify opportunities to grow the business. This role will directly support the Senior Managing Director - Proactive Cyber services, and will have a breadth of experience across client delivery, business development and cybersecurity. What You'll Do Act as a key point of contact to support to the Senior Managing Director and broader team with the delivery of high quality client deliverables and outcomes for the client. Develop client deliverables for Proactive Cyber services, leveraging the support of junior staff in the team, to deliver high quality client artefacts to support the engagements Drive forward the delivery across the following areas: Cyber strategy development and program transformation, security policies and procedures development, controls assurance, cyber readiness assessments and remediation, business impact assessments, business continuity plans, cyber resilience. Assessments against security frameworks such as NIST CSF, Essential 8, ISO27001, AESCF etc. Development of prioritized roadmaps to remediate gaps identified. Support clients in achieving compliance to regulation (e.g. CPS230, CPS234, SOCI etc.) by delivering actionable outcomes to achieve compliance to security standards and frameworks. Team management and coaching of a small team that will be delivering on your engagements. Lead small to medium size client engagements, acting as the main point of contact to deliver cyber advisory services. Support the delivery of cyber risk reporting initiatives that translate technical control and governance gaps into improved cyber risk reporting and Board reporting. Cyber risk quantification experience would be an advantage. Produce documentation and report writing that is accurate, concise and delivered in a timely manner to a large and sophisticated client base consisting of top-tier law firms, financial institutions and corporate enterprises etc. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, threats, methodologies and core technologies in order to assimilate client needs and design appropriate technical, compliance and governance solutions and services. Contribute to the assessment of current threat identification techniques and development of new methodologies and frameworks. Perform a wide range of cybersecurity engagements in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Qualifications & Experience This is a full-time role offering excellent career opportunities and professional development for your future progression within the firm. Degree, post-graduate or tertiary qualifications in cybersecurity or similar technology discipline or agreed equivalent experience. 5 - 7 years of cybersecurity experience, with experience in both consulting and industry roles advantageous. Excellent communication skills, including professional report writing that is client ready, presentation skills, written skills. Experience in compliance to regulatory standards in the Financial Services sector is desirable Experience with cyber risk quantification an advantage. Well versed in developing business proposals, pitches and can support business development activities, in addition to client delivery. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, delivering effectively and to quality across multiple matters and within a tight deadline. Works autonomously, leads clients conversations and directs other team members. The ability to work with senior team members and clients in time sensitive situations.
