Applications Close: 11 January 2026 Shelter Operation Assistant Permanent Part-time 7-day rotating roster - 30 hours a week Salary: $30.55 - $35.51 per hour 12% Superannuation What you'll do As a Shelter Operations Assistant, you will report to the Team Leader Shelter Operations and support the delivery of effective and efficient animal care and operational services across Council animal facilities. You will maintain high standards of animal welfare through daily husbandry activities, monitor animal health and wellbeing, and assist with animal admissions, care, reclaims, adoptions, transfers, and euthanasia where required. You will provide professional and compassionate customer service to members of the public, ensure accurate and timely record keeping across relevant databases, and support the safe operation and upkeep of animal care facilities. Working under the direction of the Team Leader, you will help ensure compliance with operational standards, workplace health and safety requirements, and best-practice animal care outcomes.
