About the Role We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our Technical Communications team. Reporting to the Technical Communications Team Lead, you will play a key role in drafting, editing, and producing high-quality technical publications that support our engineering and operational requirements. Job Description What You’ll Do Create and edit technical documentation including: Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs) Operator & Maintenance Manuals Illustrated Parts Catalogues Manufacturing Process Instructions Ensure compliance with ASD S1000D standards using the R4i Suite and associated publishing tools. Collaborate with engineering teams locally and internationally to capture requirements. Work cross-functionally with Project, ILS, Training, and Maintenance teams to deliver accurate and timely publications. Contribute to continuous improvement and other duties as required. Desired Skills and Experience What We’re Looking For Degree qualification in a relevant field. Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical writing or documentation roles. Strong knowledge of Defence Industry Technical Publication Standards. Experience within CASG environments highly desirable. Ability to obtain AGSVA Baseline Clearance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a detail-oriented and process-driven approach.
