Full time, fixed term for 5 years Contribute to cutting-edge aerospace and defence research Base Salary $146,197 - $154,260 17% superannuation About the opportunity The ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre for High-Speed Propulsion, Rocket and Launch Systems (HiPR-LS) is being established with the purpose of creating a highly-skilled workforce that will transform Australia's capacity to develop, manufacture and maintain rocket and launch systems for the Defence and Civil Space sectors. HiPR-LS is seeking a Training Centre Manager to lead its operations. Based at the University of Sydney, you will oversee a dynamic team and provide leadership across multiple nodes at Monash University, RMIT, and the University of Queensland. This role is pivotal in driving research training, collaboration, and external engagement with both industry and public sector partners, as well as leading international universities in this field. Your key responsibilities will be work closely with the Centre Director, executive and external advisory committees, and external partners manage operational and administrative functions of the centre, and provide administrative leadership across all nodes provide leadership and support to staff in the operations team, including direct reports oversee financial management and reporting requirements ensure compliance with governance, Work Health and Safety, and national security standards support research staff, students, and stakeholders in achieving Centre goals About you tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or equivalent training and experience demonstrated administration experience in a tertiary organisation proven office management and financial management expertise, including budget oversight experience supervising, mentoring, and managing staff performance strong capability in establishing and reviewing administrative procedures must be an Australian citizen, as stipulated in project conditions eligible and willing to get an Australian Government security clearance if deemed necessary Sponsorship / work rights for Australia You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply.
