An Associate Professor distinguishes themselves by demonstrating leadership within the context of two or more of our four academic pillars as below, with Learning, Teaching and Scholarship or Research and Innovation as one of the two options: 1) Learning, Teaching and Scholarship 2) Research and Innovation 3) Industry Practice and External Engagement 4) Leadership and Institutional Citizenship . Principle accountabilities ( but not limited to) : Learning, Teaching and Scholarship, Lead in enhancing quality teaching, learning and student support at the university, discipline or national level. Research and Innovation Conduct and advocate for all research activities to be carried out with research integrity and to a high standard in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements Industry engagement and Professional Practice (Industry Practice and External Engagement) Contribute to the profession and discipline through active involvement in relevant professional societies and participation in industry engagement initiatives, conferences, seminars and programs. Leadership and Institutional Citizenship: Collaborate with other academic staff across TGE to advance the reputation of the University locally, nationally and internationally. This is a permanent full time position. Superior knowledge of specific subject areas combined with a broad disciplinary background enabling contributions to teaching programs. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and commitment to continuous professional development. Ability to work competently and harmoniously with colleagues and students of all cultures and backgrounds. Demonstrated relationship building skills and inter-personal communication skills to enhance engagement with internal and external stakeholders. Computer literacy in appropriate discipline-specific and learning technologies as per business requirements. Evidence of external research income either with industry, government bodies or through other competitive schemes. Why join us?
