This role sits right at the heart of that growth. The Role We’re looking for 2 x Electricians / Generator Service Technicians to join our Sydney-based team. This is a hands-on, field-based service role working across Sydney and wider NSW, with a genuine mix of: On-site generator service, repairs and diagnostics Workshop-based testing and preparation of new units before they go out to site Customer-facing work where you are the face of Power Gen by Pramac What’s In It For You? A genuine mix of field and workshop work – no two weeks look the same. What You’ll Be Doing Service, repair and maintain diesel standby generator sets across Sydney and wider NSW. Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics and electrical repairs on generators up to 4,000 kVA. Support testing and commissioning of new generator systems, transfer switches and associated control gear. Split your time between field work (customer sites) and workshop work (testing and preparing new units). Work independently on smaller service jobs and in pairs on testing, load banks and larger work. Act as the face of Power Gen by Pramac on customer sites – dealing with facilities managers, site contacts and end users. Follow all safety procedures, documentation and reporting requirements to a high standard. You’ll be working around diesel engines, switchboards, control panels and heavy kit. This is a great fit if you enjoy practical, varied work and like seeing the direct impact of what you do. What You’ll Bring We’re after electricians who are comfortable around engines, plant and heavy equipment. A current Electrical Licence (full), or a relevant limited / auto electrician licence . Strong service / maintenance experience – e.g. generators, engines, mining plant, heavy equipment, industrial or facilities maintenance. Ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams , and work through faults logically. Confidence working on diesel standby generators or similar equipment, or a clear appetite to learn quickly. A real customer-service mindset – you know how to represent your company professionally on site. A valid driver’s licence and comfort driving a fully kitted-out service ute. Good communication and teamwork , with the maturity to work independently when required. We’re also open to: Senior apprentices who are close to qualification and have solid engine/plant experience. Generator technicians / auto electricians with a relevant limited licence where most work is within the generator. If your background is purely domestic / household electrical with no engine, plant or generator exposure, this role is unlikely to be the right fit.
