The objectives of the review project are to critically examine the implementation and operation of the licensing of major amusement parks in Queensland. The scope will cover all aspects of implementation including assessment of licence applications, monitoring of licences, analysis of the resources applied/required and options for the future state of the regulatory framework. Industry feedback on the implementation and effectiveness will be sourced via interviews with the three major amusement park operators to inform the review and ensure a complete picture of the regime's effectiveness. The project officer will also assist in updating documentation and templates to make the required changes to optimise delivery of safety at major amusement parks.
