Key Responsibilities As a Cyber Security Analyst at Kombee Pty Ltd, your role will include duties: Analyze and assess vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications, identifying weaknesses and recommending solutions. Investigate and implement security tools and countermeasures such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and encryption protocols. Monitor and analyze system logs, DLP incidents, and network traffic to detect suspicious activity and potential threats. Manage and respond to cyber security incidents, conducting post‑mortem and forensic analysis to determine root causes and recovery processes. Develop and enforce cyber security policies, standards, and governance frameworks to strengthen organizational security posture. Design and implement risk metrics, KRIs, and dashboards to measure and report on cyber security performance. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. Deliver cyber security awareness training and guidance to internal stakeholders, ensuring best practices are followed. Collaborate with IT teams and business units to maintain compliance, accreditation, and regulatory standards while keeping abreast of evolving threat intelligence. What We’re Looking For Minimum 3 years’ experience in cyber security roles, with proven expertise in incident response, vulnerability assessment, and risk management. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent, with professional certifications such as CEH and CompTIA CySA highly regarded. Strong skills in implementing and managing security tools including firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, encryption, and data loss prevention systems. Ability to develop and enforce cyber security policies, governance frameworks, and compliance standards , ensuring regulatory adherence. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with experience delivering cyber security awareness training to stakeholders. A proactive mindset with passion for cyber security, keeping abreast of evolving threat intelligence and industry best practices . Desirable Attributes Previous experience working in finance, banking, or enterprise IT environments , handling large‑scale cyber security operations. Strong background in developing and implementing cyber security policies, governance frameworks, and compliance standards . Ability to lead or supervise small security teams , providing guidance and mentoring to junior analysts.
