Why Mackay North State School? Established in 1915, Mackay North State School has a rich history of growth, reaching its peak in 1978 as the 5th largest state primary school in Queensland. While enrolments later stabilised following the opening of neighbouring schools, a strong sense of loyalty and community has remained. Today, with around 320 students, the school continues its long-standing commitment to nurturing students' academic, sporting, cultural and social potential, proudly celebrating its centenary in 2015.
