The Business Development and Partnerships Manager reports to the Director, Future Skills Growth and Partnerships and is responsible for: Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, peak bodies, community organisations and funding stakeholders to generate repeat business and long-term partnerships. Identifying and developing new business opportunities in priority sectors in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Maintaining awareness of commercial trends, funding programs, and innovation models relevant to skills development and education partnerships, leveraging these insights to inform business development strategies. Promoting high-quality client service and productive stakeholder relationships that directly support business development objectives. Preparing various written documents including Executive briefs, business cases, proposals, and tailored pitch documents. Planning, managing, and supporting the delivery of business development campaigns, programs, and partnerships to ensure they are effectively executed. Professionally represent the Branch and CIT at stakeholder and partner engagements, meetings, and internal forums with all levels of stakeholders including industry, community, tertiary education sector and government. Coordinating project teams of internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery against timeframes and objectives. Maintaining effective project management practices, including record keeping, milestone tracking, risk management and reporting. Monitoring and escalate risks affecting delivery, budget, or strategic alignment, and advise on mitigation strategies. Driving continuous improvement by contributing ideas, challenging existing practices, and promoting best practice approaches across CIT. Sharing knowledge and collaborating to enhance team performance and foster a culture of innovation. Supporting the development and review of strategic and operational plans, as well as business development strategies. Reviewing and refining business processes to improve efficiency and outcomes, including opportunity tracking, conversion rates, and partner satisfaction. Promoting and ensuring compliance with Work Health and Safety and contribute to a safe, inclusive workplace. Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the work of the team, the Division and the organisation. This position does not involve direct supervision of staff.
