Responsibilities Reporting to the Lead Structural Designer, you will join a collective team based across Perth & Brisbane that support our clients and projects from studies to detailed engineering and EPCM delivery. In addition, this role will undertake the following duties: Detailed layout, design and production of drawings encompassing all aspects of a plant construction package in accordance with relevant standards and project requirements Inter-discipline liaison, support and timely transfer of information Timely completion of drawings and schedules Review and processing of vendor data and drawings Adherence to project man-hour budgets Adherence to Wood Standards and Procedures Assist in checking of study and project drawings Assist with training of junior draftsperson Miscellaneous drafting and site tasks, as directed Assistance with site installation and commissioning Assistance with the development of estimates. Qualifications You will be an Australian citizen or be eligible to hold Permanent Residency (PR) to work lawfully in Australia As a structural designer, you will have built your career within the resources sector, with experience in the design of mineral processing facilities, ideally from concept through to detailed engineering. Your passion and exposure to large scale projects will have seen you work in a multi disciplinary environment, building relations with wide range of stakeholders. You will also have: 8 years of relevant experience Relative Qualification in structural (concrete and steel) design within the resource sector Well-developed computer skills with a good knowledge of at least one CAD system (preferably MicroStation OBD) as well as a working knowledge of spreadsheets Good understanding of mineral resource technology as well as structural (concrete and steel) technology Possess teamwork skills as well as an understanding of other discipline requirements and expectations Quick and accurate with methodical approach to allocated work areas Good understanding of the scope of work and project development process Proficient checking skills with ability to work unsupervised, focus on task completion, initiative Good organisational and time management skills Ability to problem-solve effectively Effective communication skills Ability to effectively work in a team Attention to detail Strong analytical, literacy and numerical skills Understanding of Australian and common International standards and regulatory authority requirements in the relevant processing sector What will set you apart will be your proven experience partnering with clients from juniors through to tier one majors, from concept development through project execution in an EPCM contractual model.
