We are seeking an experienced Community Engagement Manager to join the Utilities line of business. The position will support the community engagement programs in project areas and is responsible for managing the internal and external communications for our Utilities projects. What Will a Day In This Role Look Like Develop, implement, and lead community engagement strategies to foster trust, collaboration, and proactive communication with stakeholders. Act as the main point of contact for community inquiries, feedback, and complaints, ensuring concerns are addressed promptly and effectively. Strategically design and implement initiatives that create lasting social benefits for the local community, such as education, employment, and training programs. Collaborate with Indigenous communities to ensure cultural heritage and inclusion are prioritized and integrated into project activities. Build strong relationships with local councils, government authorities, Indigenous groups, environmental organizations, and other key stakeholders. What are we looking for you to bring to the team: Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Sustainability, Communications, or a related field. Proven experience (5 years) in community engagement, stakeholder management, or social responsibility programs. Demonstrated ability to design and deliver community-centered initiatives that create long-term social value. Knowledge of Victorian regional communities, including challenges and opportunities they face. Experience working with Indigenous groups and facilitating culturally inclusive practices. Strong communication skills (oral and written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
