This role is key to ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial results for our Designworks division. Reporting to the Senior Financial Account for Footwear and Wholesale, you’ll take ownership of month-end processes, reporting, tax compliance, and audits, while also supporting the business with ad-hoc analysis and insights. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Prepare and post month-end journals to ensure timely financial reporting Manage quarterly royalty reporting to licencors Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain compliance registers Prepare and lodge monthly BAS, with involvement in FBT and other tax lodgements Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to support audit and compliance processes Review purchase price variance clearing accounts ensuring variances to standard are cleared to the profit & loss in accordance with the stock turn of the division Provide accurate ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support business needs ABOUT YOU 3-5 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant, ideally within wholesale, FMCG, or retail environments Strong technical accounting knowledge including month-end close, journal preparation, GST returns, and balance sheet reconciliations Experience in foreign exchange hedging and revaluations highly regarded Detail-oriented with excellent time management and prioritisation skills A collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced environments JUST SOME PERKS WE OFFER Pet-friendly workspace - Yes, your furry friend can join you at work!
