About the Role As a Correctional Supervisor, you will be at the frontline of operational leadership, ensuring safety, structure, and support across Ravenhall’s diverse units, including our Forensic Mental Health Unit and communities that support rehabilitation and reintegration outcomes. Reporting to the Correctional Manager, you will supervise Correctional Officers, coordinate daily operations, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and prisoner engagement. Is This You? Your Essential Skills for Success We are looking for emotionally intelligent leaders who can balance structure with empathy. You will have: Certificate III in Correctional Practice, with a willingness to complete Certificate IV within 12 months of appointment Correctional Emergency Response Team (CERT) Team Leader training (or ability to complete at the first available opportunity) Strong grasp of corrections legislation and policy Proven supervisory and mentoring experience Excellent communication and documentation skills High computer literacy and current First Aid certification Desirable: Certificate IV in Correctional Practice and knowledge of custodial management. Please note that the role of Correctional Supervisor involves shift work. You must be prepared to be assigned to any supervisory location within the centre, including the Shift Office, and be available to work weekends and/or night shifts as per your roster. This role is situated within a correctional setting and will involve direct contact with prisoners. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is mandatory.
