The Governor Hotel, one of Momento Hospitality’s flagship venues, is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Service Prepare, cook and present menu items across various sections of the kitchen to consistently high standards. Ensure all dishes meet quality, portion, and presentation guidelines set by the Head Chef. Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workstation at all times. Kitchen Operations Assist in daily kitchen operations, including stock rotation, ordering, receiving deliveries, and maintaining inventory levels. Follow recipes and menu plans accurately to maintain consistency across shifts. Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment and report any faults promptly. Food Safety & Compliance Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene and WHS standards in line with NSW Health regulations and venue policies. Implement safe food-handling practices, temperature control and allergen-awareness procedures. Teamwork & Collaboration Work collaboratively with chefs, cooks, kitchen hands and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service. Support junior team members by providing guidance, training and maintaining positive kitchen culture. Communicate effectively during service to ensure efficient workflow during peak periods. About You Relevant chef qualifications (Cert IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent). Experience in a busy restaurant, pub, or hotel kitchen environment. Strong work ethic, reliability and passion for food. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings. A team player who values consistency, quality and professionalism. Permanent full time role with a starting salary between $76K - $80K (plus super).
