They are a significant participant in Australian wholesale gas markets, managing diverse gas portfolios including LNG supply, domestic gas production, pipeline capacity, and wholesale trading activities across the east coast. The business operates across the full gas value chain from upstream production and LNG operations through to wholesale trading and portfolio optimisation. They provide gas supply solutions to utilities, industrial customers, and wholesale counterparties whilst actively trading across physical and financial gas markets. They are seeking a Senior Gas Originator to lead gas supply and sales origination, structure commercial transactions, and build strategic relationships across wholesale gas markets. This front-office role operates within a trading floor environment, working at the intersection of origination, trading, and commercial strategy. The Role As Senior Gas Originator, you will originate and negotiate gas supply and sales agreements, structure wholesale gas transactions, and develop commercial opportunities across Australian and Asia-Pacific gas markets. This role requires deep expertise in gas markets, commercial structuring capability, and the ability to originate and execute complex transactions. You will identify and secure gas supply from producers, LNG suppliers, and market participants whilst originating gas sales opportunities with utilities, industrial customers, and wholesale counterparties. Working closely with gas trading, portfolio management, and commercial teams, you will drive gas portfolio optimisation and support commercial objectives. This is a senior origination role offering significant autonomy in deal structuring and negotiation, operating within a dynamic trading floor environment with direct impact on portfolio performance and commercial outcomes.
